About Us

Our Mission

At LiberateUK, we envision a world where vulnerability and desperation never leads to exploitation, slavery and abuse. We work to support people at critical moments – when they are navigating immense challenges and structural barriers – so that no one is left without options or forced into dangerous situations.

Many incredible organisations provide vital support along people’s journeys, from survivor services to drop-in advice and general assistance. But there is a crucial gap: those at the highest risk of exploitation often need tailored, one-to-one key-working support – someone to walk alongside them to build independence and empowerment. Exploitation isn’t inevitable – it thrives when people lack safe pathways to stability.

That’s where LiberateUK steps in. We provide proactive, person-centred support programmes for those in need of specialist support, who might otherwise slip through the cracks – whether it’s a mother of five rebuilding after domestic violence, a young person ageing out of foster care, or a newly recognised refugee facing homelessness and isolation. Through dedicated key-working, we walk alongside them, providing the tools, connections and guidance to help them navigate systems, build resilience and reclaim autonomy over their lives and live a life of freedom.

By focusing on prevention and early intervention, LiberateUK tackles the root causes of vulnerability, working to equip these individuals with the tools, resources and knowledge necessary – ensuring fewer lives are lost to exploitation and more futures are built on freedom and opportunity. Together, we strive to liberate potential and create lasting change.

At LiberateUK we believe that our mission can be achieved through quality support that listens, educates and equips. LiberateUK has, at its core, the principle that ‘quality is far more impactful than quantity’ – our focus will not be on mass numbers of clients but instead on offering each individual bespoke and care-filled support, meeting their specific needs and enabling them to flourish in their own unique way.

Why Our Work Matters

Many of the individuals we serve often arrive to the UK with little more than hope for a better life, having endured traumatic experiences such as war, persecution, exploitation, and human trafficking – often disoriented and vulnerable, making them easy targets for traffickers and exploitative individuals. Many face language barriers, social isolation, and systemic challenges that make it difficult to navigate daily life in the UK. Without the right knowledge, resources, or support networks, they face significant risks of falling into exploitative situations—whether it be labour trafficking, forced criminality or other forms of modern slavery.

At LiberateUK we believe in proactive, preventative measures to stop exploitation before it happens. By addressing the needs of vulnerable individuals early on, we aim to break the cycle of abuse and empower them to thrive with dignity, autonomy and independence. We believe that every person deserves the opportunity to live free from fear, rebuild their life and contribute positively to society.
